Use Arts Intergration to Enhance Common Core (Blog #7)

Using the arts in a classroom is a uncomfortable strategy to use when teaching kids. This is because teachers been made to teach more out of a book. Just recently has using the arts such as singing, dancing, and acting been beneificial to the teaching community because more and more teachers are getting use to how to use them appropriately. In classroom settings, it can be very easy to integrate the arts. Singing for instance can help with teaching kids catchy jingles that help the children with memorization. Acting can also help with literature because after reading a story, a teacher can have the kids act out a scene of the story. There are several ways to integrate different arts to teach kids. Most kids now a days are hands on learners. Getting them out of their seat and actually doing something is what helps them learn better. Another reason using the arts is a good idea is because it will help kids become more passionate, or at least a little, on a subject that they are not fond of. It helps them open their eyes a little more in a fun, and intriguing way.
